The purpose of the exhibition is to convey and valorise the visual memory represented in Phaidra's photographic collections through the presentation of the collections, research of technical, physical and chemical aspects which contribute to the creation of photographic images and the description of digitalisation process that makes it possible for the photographs to be made available to a wide audience.

The photographic collections come from the University of Padova, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the Università Iuav di Venezia.
