The work consists of a text by Franz Unger, not included in the collection, but available at the University of Vienna (http://phaidra.univie.ac.at/o:378882), and 14 lithographs of landscapes that represent the primitive world in different Eras. The author of the tables is Josef Kuwasseg, the printer is S. Minsinger, the lithographer's Leopold Rottmann. The work is bilingual (German and French).
